COVID-19 POLICY

CONTACT DETAILS

Your contact details will be collected on or before arrival including full name, postal address, email address and contact number

If you are visiting me at The Cut Hair Salon your details will be passed on for their records.

Details will be kept on record for 21 days due to the governments track and trace system that is in place for COVID-19.

ALLERGY TESTING

If you are a regular client of mine I may be sending you an allergy test through the post, this test must be applied following instructions 48 hours prior to your appointment and you must come to your appointment wearing the patch as I will need to remove it and record the results, a digital record will then need to be signed.

New clients will require a consultation and allergy test before attending a colour appointment

FACE COVERINGS

All clients will be asked to wear a clean reusable or unused disposable face covering such as a mask, if you do not have one I will provide one at a charge of £1, however I encourage you to have a reusable covering to prevent waste.

Please have your face covering or mask on before entering, if you do not have one I will have one waiting for you at the door but please inform me before you arrive.

I will be wearing both a type 2 medical grade mask and a face visor.

COATS AND BAGS

Please keep what you bring with you to a minimum.

You will be asked to place your belongings in a box next to the styling station, this will fit your bag and a lite jacket or jumper, whilst the weather is good please leave larger items like heavy coats at home or in the car.

In the event you need to bring a coat with you we ask you bring a bag to place your items in.

I WILL BE WEARING A VISOR & MASK

It is mandatory for me to wear a visor and type 2 face mask at all times whilst carrying out any close contact service.

YOUR PHONE

If you wish to use your phone during your appointment you will be asked to place your it in a sterilising box that uses UVC light and kill germs and bacteria within one minute (this is perfectly safe for your phone)

HAND WASHING

You will be asked to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and then uses an alcohol gel rub that I will provide.

REFRESHMENTS

For the foreseeable future I will not be providing refreshments, for longer appointments I would suggest bringing your own drink (government guidelines suggest only a bottle of water) this can also be sterilised on entry but please be mindful about removing you mask to drink.

COME ALONE

I will no longer be able to have more than one client in the studio or at the salon at any time, if you normally come with a friend or family member you must book separate appointments. Please do not bring children with you. 

SYMPTOMS

If in the 2 weeks prior your appointment you, someone in your household or someone you have been in close contact with is unwell it’s extremely important that you cancel your appointment, this includes feeling unwell in anyway even if think it’s probably just a cold. The three main symptoms of the virus are, a temperature above 37.8 degrees, loss of taste and/or smell or a new persistent cough.

As much as I have put every measure in place to keep myself and everyone else safe I cannot social distance and if I became unwell I wouldn’t be able to work and could spread the virus 

PAYMENT

Cash will no longer be accepted, if you are a regular client to the studio and normally do so you can with pay via bank transfer the day of your appointment otherwise please use a debit or credit card, Apple/Android Pay is also accepted for contactless payment. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

The usual 48 hour cancellation policy is on hold and a new policy is in place meaning there will be no charge for appointments cancelled up to 2 hours prior to your booking, however if you do not cancel within 2 hours you will be required to pay 30% of your total booking amount and if you do not show up you will be required to pay the full booking amount.

If you have paid a deposit and you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment your deposit will be transferable to your next appointment with myself.

IF YOUR APPOINTMENT IS CANCELLED

If I start to experience any symptoms of the virus I will need to self-isolate for 2 weeks or until I get a negative test result, in the event I have symptoms or get a positive COVID-19 result your appointment will be rescheduled.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE?

As well as all of the above procedures I have put in place I will also be doing the following:

  • A clean gown and towel will be used for every individual and washed after each use.
  • I will be thoroughly washing my gloves after each use and sterilising them with UV light.
  • I will be changing and washing my apron after each client.
  • I will be sterilising all tools used in either a sterilising solution or using UVC lights
  • I will be deep cleaning my work area in between appointments.
  • I will be wearing a clean visor for each appointment. 
  • I will be fresh wearing a type 2 face mask ever6 4 hours.

If you have suspected COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of your appointment please contact me immediately.
