Do you ever end up getting you hair coloured a beautiful vibrant copper or red, only to have it fade to a bit of a rubbish shade of “meh” after a few weeks?
Why do you think that is?
The red colour molecule is larger than other colour molecules. It doesn’t reach as deep inside the hair as a brown colour molecule would. This means it will simply drop out of the hair quicker, leaving your hair looking faded.
So what can be done about this?
Using the correct hair care is vital, many shampoos on the market will aid the fade. Using a paraben and sulphate free shampoo designed for coloured hair is a must. However, my new absolutely favourite product has to be Wella Colour Fresh Masks. They have beautiful shades from rich copper to vibrant red. Use these masks once a week to add vibrancy to your red hair.
